Water Works Plumbing ~ Website Copy

The Challenge:

This client created his plumbing business in a popular Spanish-speaking tourist town, in response to the high demand for experienced plumbers. His clientele consisted of mostly English-speaking expats that were wanting US-standard plumbing solutions. He needed a simple site (in English) that conveyed his expertise, US training, and bilingual abilities so that he could advertise further to the expat community.

The Solution:

Since the client was already somewhat established in the community, I reviewed his testimonials from happy clients and interviewed a few of them to determine what qualities set him apart from other plumbers in the area. I then used those words to create a benefit-driven hero area on his home page. Words like “prompt, knowledgeable, professional, and, courteous”, were used to attract the expat community. I also added 2 icons that identified his US training, and bilingual abilities, both of which were highly appreciated by his current clients. I completed the area above the fold with an evident call to action button and clearly defined his service area.

Immediately under the fold, I categorized the three kinds of services he offered and added a brief summary of each. This section is followed by a slider with numerous positive testimonials from the community, to build trust and provide social proof.
